Butyl tape primer
A fast drying primer for all surfaces prior to the application of Denso butyl based tapes. Penetrates existing rust, pacifies the surface and aids in adhesion.
• Fills surface irregularities for intimate contact of tape compound
• Promotes high adhesion
• Fast drying
• Good penetration characteristics
• Can be brush or spray applied
Prepare surfaces by removing all loose scale, rust or other foreign matter by grit blasting or wire brush. Apply a thin uniform coat of Denso Butyl Primer to clean surface and allow to tack dry. Prime only areas to be wrapped the same day. Reprime if area becomes dirty or wet.
