Royston Butyl Moldable Sealant (C125 Tac Tape) is a 125 mil, high temperature, cold applied, dielectric putty. It is designed to be used as a filler material to fill gaps and voids and to contour irregular surfaces, providing a seamless, water tight barrier preventing overwraps from bridging over substrates. The compound serves as an initial protection against corrosion and electrolysis on irregular fittings and hard-to-coat metal substrates. The use of Butyl Moldable Sealant provides a bonded protective coating with exceptional cohesive strength, flexibility and versatility. Royston Butyl Moldable Sealant requires the use of a primer before application.

Tapecoat 20® is a hot-applied 58 mil coal tar tape for ambient temperature below grade application. Tapecoat 20 is designed to protect buried metal surfaces from underground corrosion and electrolysis. These surfaces include coating pipe, girth welds, fittings, couplings, tanks, cable, conduit, and tie rods. Tapecoat 20 is resistant to thermal expansion, impact and abrasion. Tapecoat 20 consists of a specially formulated pliable coal tar coating completely saturated into and bonded to both sides of a high tensile strength fabric. In addition, it has a polyester film adhering to the coating which facilitates unwinding of the roll and acts as an outer wrap providing additional mechanical strength against backfill and soil stress.

The coating provides protection against corrosion and electrolysis on metal substrates. The mesh backing allows the coating to conform well to the pipe surface but does not stretch or elongate giving the HT/MB its exceptional strength against soil stress.
Tapecoat HT/MB must be applied using a 50% minimum overlap and it requires the use of a primer prior to application.
