The patented Scar-Guard® line of products is designed to protect field joint and mainline coatings from mechanical stresses and scarring associated with horizontal directional drilling (HDD), boring and micro-tunneling of pipelines. Scar-Guard® is a composite abrasion resistant overcoat comprised of fiberglass cloth and pre-impregnated flexible resin that is activated by water and cured within minutes. This sacrificial outer laminate system protects preapproved anticorrosion field joint coatings and mainline coatings such as FBE, liquid epoxies, shrink sleeves, and tapes.
The Scar-Guard® line of products minimizes the need for costly repairs after pull back, and provides robust protection of the underlying pipeline coating. U.S. Patent #8522827

Compression Film and a perforating tool are also used to install the Scar-Guard®.

CANUSA Wrapid Tape™ consists of a crosslinked polyolefin backing, coated with a protective, heat sensitive anticorrosion adhesive which effectively bonds to steel substrates and common pipeline coatings including polyethylene and fusion bonded epoxy. Upon the application of heat, Wrapid Tape™ shrinks down to fully encapsulate the protected substrate. The product is packaged in convenient rolls with various widths to protect and repair pipelines, fittings, bends, elbows and other irregular configurations.
CANUSA Wrapid Tape™ is available in either Black or Yellow 2″, 3″ 4″, or 6″ x 50′ lengths.

Cathodic Protection Cable (CPC) is used in Cathodic protection systems designed to protect steel, water or fuel pipelines and storage tanks, steel pier piles, ships, offshore platforms and onshore well casings from corrosion. CPC helps make sure your metal lasts as long as possible when exposed to the earth’s electrical charge.

CPC typically consists of a stranded copper conductor insulated from the surrounding soil by one of the following:

  • A single layer of High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (HMWPE) insulation which in most applications is 0.110″ thick (110 mils).
  • A fluoropolymer insulation, usually 0.020″ (20 mils) of Halar (ECTFE) protected by a 0.065″ (65 mils) Polyethylene (HMWPE) jacket is typically used where halogen gases such as fluorine, chlorine, bromine etc. are present and concentrated around the anode and the cable. These types of cables are commonly called “Halar” or “Kynar” Cathodic Protection Cables.

The NEW CCI OmniRoller Casing Spacers are supplied with a patented runner equipped with an innovative multidirectional assembly designed for the following:

• Maintain cathodic protection between the carrier pipe and casing pipe to prevent premature corrosion
• Reduce the coefficient of friction within the casing pipe for ease of installation
• Allow for longer installations while maintaining the desired grade
• Prevent the carrier pipe from spiraling within the casing pipe during installation, unlike unidirectional rollers

The CCI OmniRoller Casing Spacers are manufactured with an 8” wide Coated Carbon Steel or Stainless Steel shell for nominal carrier pipe sizes ranging from 4” to 24”. Each OmniRoller runner can be supplied with up to 3 multidirectional assemblies depending on the carrier pipe type and application.

Chicago Fittings X-Riser:

•  ELIMINATE Below Grade Joints at the Building

•  Bottoming Nut (Positive Stop) eliminates the need for Torque Measurement

•  One Piece Bi-Directional Seal/Ferrule Assembly Design eliminates worries of “Order & Orientation” of multiple internal components

•  Swage Collar Design eliminates the need for a “Weep Hole” which exposes the PE to both UV Rays and outdoor elements

•  Eliminates the need for Chamfering Tools and Fusion Equipment

Atlas™ is a high strength, high stiffness carbon fiber solution for on-site repair of piping structures. Atlas™ HT is for use on piping structures with operating temperatures of up to 450°F. Atlas™ is designed for repairs requiring strain reduction due to dynamic loading conditions and is most commonly used for pipelines and piping systems that have suffered from corrosion or third party damages. Complete the Engineering Assessment Form and send to to receive your quote.

Possible defects that can be repaired include:

• External corrosion and pitting
• Dents, gouges and scratches
• Welds and other manufacturing flaws
• Wrinkle Bends
• Crack Reinforcement (conditional cases)

Benefits

  • Permanent repair with minimal disruption to pipeline operation during installation and top coating
  • Flexible repair system can be installed on complex deformations and geometries and in areas of low clearance
  • Installed and inspected with cost-effective field labor
  • Reduce time and cost in the ditch, repairing more anomalies in less time
  • Can be installed over non-injurious hard spots and laminations without safety risk, reducing the total repair length, cost and time required compared to steel sleeves
